East Renfrewshire CouncilThe project comprised of resurfacing the carriageway of Crookfur Road, Newton Mearns from Ayr Road to Forrestfield Crescent. MacLay Civil Engineering Ltd carried out the works to a high standard, within budget and completed the works one week early on a three week contract.

Alastair Brown
Graduate Engineer
East Renfrewshire Council

Your letter dated 11 May suggested inconvenience over a period of three weeks while the work was carried out. In the event, the inconvenience was very limited thanks to the co-operation of the contractor’s men and I would like to thank them for their help and courtesy to residents who has no option but to seek access and egress while the work proceeded. The finished project was well worth waiting for. As I remember they were well within the timescale, a rare feature these days when many projects seem to overrun in time and budget.
